Privacy notice

chat.newdais.ai is run by New DAIS. This notice explains what we collect when you use it, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

What we collect

Your account: Your name, work email and organisation, as your Microsoft or Google sign-in provides them, and the workspaces you belong to and your role in each.
Your workspace's content: Files you upload, the connections an admin sets up, the questions people ask, the answers, dashboards and feedback.
The waitlist: The email address you enter and which page you used.
How the app performs: On signed-in pages, how long pages and answers take to load and the type of any error, with the page's pattern (for example "a conversation page") but never its content, your questions or your data.
Security records: Sign-ins, admin actions and refused requests, kept so that we and your admins can investigate problems.

How we use it

To run the service: sign you in, keep each workspace separate and answer your questions.
To keep it secure and working: investigate errors, slow pages and suspicious activity.
To contact you about the waitlist or your workspace. We do not send marketing email unless you ask for it.

We do not sell personal information.

How answers are produced

To answer a question, the app sends the question, a description of the relevant tables and the rows needed for the answer to the AI model provider we use. We choose providers whose terms do not allow them to train their models on that content. Which providers we use will be listed here in the final version of this notice.

Ads and the consent banner

If you arrive from one of our ads, the address may carry a click reference from the ad platform. On our public pages we ask before keeping it. If you allow it, we store it in a cookie for up to 90 days and, when you join the waitlist or create a workspace, we tell the ad platform only that reference, the event and the time. We never send your email, name or anything from your workspace. If you decline or do not answer, nothing is stored and nothing is sent. Signed-in pages never show the banner and carry no ad code.

Cookies and local storage

__Host-session: keeps you signed in. Required.
consent_ads: your answer to the consent banner.
ad_click_id: the ad click reference, only if you allowed it.
theme (local storage): light or dark, if you chose one.

Service providers that host and run the app (cloud hosting, storage, databases and the AI model provider), each under contract and only to provide the service. We may disclose information if the law requires it. Within a workspace, other members see what the workspace's permissions allow.

How long we keep it

Workspace content stays until an admin deletes it or the workspace. A deleted workspace's data is removed within 30 days. Security records are kept for up to a year. Waitlist entries are deleted once you have a workspace or ask us to remove them.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal information, or object to how we use it. For content inside a workspace, your workspace admin may need to act first. Write to contact@newdais.ai and we will reply within 30 days.

Changes

If we change this notice in a way that matters, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect.
